Our ÖBV-Arena at the IFA 2018 Fistball Women‘s World Championship in Linz offers 2,300 seats. Just under 2 weeks of construction work was needed to condition the school center in Linz-Auhof to “World Championship ready”. 8 trucks of material were installed just for the spectator stands, countless kilometres of cables for technic, internet and TV laid at the venue, 250 tables and 500 benches in the gastro area set up. A 24m² video wall ensures that you will not miss a game scene. On an area of 1.600m², a World Champs village was created in the outdoor area with several interactive stations for young and old and the g

astro area invites you to consume high-quality food and drinks.

Sustainability is at the center of our event concept. The choice for the school center Linz-Auhof has also been made due to the excellent location. The World Championship venue is easily accessible by public transport, and there are plenty of cheap parking spaces available at the University area next to the venue.

With the ÖBV insurance, we have found an ideal partner for our jewel box, which has long been infected by the fistball virus. “I was impressed by the atmosphere and ambience at the European Championships two years ago. That’s the reason why we also wanted to be a partner at the Women’s World Championship. In addition, we reach our target groups excellent. We look forward to many exciting games”, said Manfred Steinberger, Director of ÖBV in Upper Austria.
