Brazil has advanced to the semi-final after a clear 3:0 victory over newcomer Poland. The Seleção, playing without their main attacker Tatiane Schneider, only lost four points in the first two sets.
The third set is more evenly matched. Poland keeps in reach until 8:9. The Brazilians then take a time out. Once back in the game it is Isabella Lucchin who scores twice and decides the match for Brazil. We will thus see in the semi-final a re-match of the 2016 final between Germany and Brazil.
Tatiane Schneider (BRA): It was good for the team to have played on this court before the match against Germany. We could work on our teamwork and are looking forward to the up-coming match. We will fight for every point.
Karolina Olszewska (POL): To play in front of a larger audience is not that stressful for me, because I am fully concentrated on the game. I don’t think about it, I just play. It was a great experience to play against Brazil.
