Due to the welcome, but nevertheless short-term takeover of the IFA Fistball Womens World Championships and the pleasing development of the Covid infection figures in Austria, the organising committee has decided to stop ticket sales once again, in order to be able to finally take off with final concepts in a few weeks’ time.

In almost daily conferences with the responsible authorities and ministries, the expected relaxations are included in the infrastructure concept.

There is also a lively exchange with the participating nations regarding the entry regulations. The final decision on which nations can participate in the respective event is also expected in mid-June.

OC Secretary General Christoph Oberlehner: “Since mid-October we have worked out 5 different scenarios to prepare for all eventualities. That helps us a lot in the current situation. Now we still have to sound out which scenarios guarantee the greatest possible safety on the one hand and enable a top fistball event on the other. Safety is still the top priority. Fortunately, the situation has developed better in recent weeks than the forecasts predicted. Of course, we want to take that into account in our planning.”

Tickets already purchased will of course remain valid.
