Recap
The Czech Republic drove home its first victory in this World Championship with a 2:0 win over newcomer Belgium. The team of coach Jan Mazal took control early on, and secured the first set with 11:2. The second set is a bit tighter, but the Czech squad confidentially seals the deal with a long ball from Klara Kosakova (11:7).
Tereza Hlouskova (CZE): It was really helpful to have had a break yesterday. It’s a great victory for us and I hope we will win the match against New Zealand as well. We are just hoping for the best for us. It’s really great to have won this game.
Fauve Thys (BEL): It was a close game in the second set, but I think we are just too tired. We don’t have spare players and we are all just dead. We gave everything.
