Recap
This game was not for the faint-hearted. The Czech Republic and Italy played a balanced match over three sets. Furthermore the match had to be interrupted due to a storm in the first set of 8:5 for Italy.
Manuela Neyer (ITA): The balls got a lot faster due to the wet conditions and we needed some time to adjust our game. The two halves of the court are also very different: one is a little bit drier and playing on the other one is like playing on a lake.
Katerina Pajerova (CZE): I think the wet conditions were really hard for both sides. We did not have many training sessions with these conditions. I think, however, that we did have an advantage here, because my serves got a lot more dangerous in the rain. I made many points but it was as hard for them as it was for us.
